~The decision!~ Thursday, Dec. 09, 2004 - 7:59 AM THE SUPREME COURT OF CANADA JUST ANNOUNCED IT'S VERDICT IN THE QUESTION OF SAME SEX MARRIAGE IN CANADA! THEY HAVE OFFICIALLY BACKED THE LIBERALS, AND HAVE GIVEN PARLIAMENT PERMISSION TO CHANGR OUR CONSTITUTION TO INCLUDE SAME SEX MARRIAGE! ALL RELIGIOUS LEADERS ARE EXEMPT FROM PERFORMING SUCH MARRIAGES IF THEIR RELIGION DICTATES. WHEN ASKED THE QUESTION AS TO IF DISALLOWING SAME SEX MARRIAGE WAS UNCONSTITUTIONAL, THEY REFUSED TO ANSWER. THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T SEE WHY THEY WERE BEING ASKED WHEN THE FEDERAL GOV'T DIDN'T APPEAL ANY OF THE FINDINGS THAT LEGALIZED SAME SEX MARRIAGE IN 6 PROVINCES. A BILL SHOULD BE PUT TO THE HOUSE OF COMMONS BY MONTHS END BABY!!!!! Now, if only we could turn Harper gay....atleast just for the vote. With this being a minority gov't right now, there is a chance the bill will fail. Also...the most they say old Ralphie boy here can do to stop it, is to pass a bill that says no one who has any religion against same sex marriage has to perform the marriages...... ....but they are forgetting that we can get a temp license and marry friends if they want us to. That me dears IS legal, and has been standing for quite some time. So....now to wait on the bill.......
